Specialized work is performed in the design and implementation of appropriate keying systems and in establishing key control procedures, as well as making keys. Work may involve the use of computers or electronic equipment in the installation and maintenance of electronic security devices. This work involves the exercise of independent judgment in determining work methods and procedures and may include lead work over helpers. Employees receive assignments orally and in written form from a foreman or other supervisor who also inspects completed work for compliance with specifications. This position is considered an essential personnel position.
